Unlocking the conundrum of maintaining financial stability, growing the organisation, and supporting all budget holders to be creative and adaptive to get the very best value from scarce resource is a real challenge. Are you a strategic financial leader ready for that challenge?
If you are then we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Executive Leadership Team and work at a strategic level to take ownership for the planning and direction of the college’s finances, including annual Income and Expenditure of c. £50 million and Net Assets of c. £100 million, and the leadership of an experienced Finance team. You will spend your time working with the Board of Governors and managers, ensuring that high-quality financial information flows across the organisation to support good decision making.
Your listening and diagnostic and planning skills will be as important as your high level of technical skill as you act as Business Partner to managers. You will focus on reporting accurately to the Board, managing and improving our liquidity, maintaining excellent relationships with our funders, bankers and auditors and playing an important role in managing large capital and revenue budgets through sound financial project management, the provision of timely and relevant information and input of innovation and creativity to deliver Best Value for Money. We would like to make some improvements to our financial systems to ensure that we continue to work smartly, so experience and skills gained in delivering positive change are essential.
