As Head of Estates & Facilities for The Sheffield College, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the College’s estate, related resources, facilities and staff within the Estates and Facilities department.
Your role will be key in laying the foundations of success for the College. You will be responsible for the continuous development of the College’s accommodation strategy in line with the College’s wider strategic objectives, ensuring all college buildings, grounds, plant, equipment and other items of infrastructure are maintained effectively and used to their full potential.
Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and standing committees; you will be directly managing the long-term planning and strategic delivery of the College investment plan, procurement contracts and liaising with external agencies. You will work closely with the Head of Finance on budget delivery and management and work closely with relevant peers and colleagues.
This is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced senior Estates & Facilities professional, experience within a college or similar environment is preferable, however not essential.
The Sheffield College is a general Further Education College that provides full-time and part-time academic, vocational and professional courses to approximately 16,049 young people and adults every year. The Sheffield College offer a broad range of qualifications including apprenticeships, vocational diplomas, A-levels, access courses and foundation and honours degrees. There are around c.450 learners completing university level courses at the College. There are four main campuses: City, Hillsborough, Olive Grove and Peaks which are all modern and well equipped.
The College has invested in new buildings and facilities for engineering and the creative industries at its Hillsborough and Olive Grove campuses. These support the College’s broader commitment to training students in the skills that employers need, and contributing to regional growth.
