Stoke on Trent College has created a new role of Head of Learning for English, Maths and ESOL. This is an exciting cross college role and offers opportunity for rapid professional development. Reporting into the Deputy Principal/Vice Principal, as a member of the College Management Team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the management team to deliver the College’s strategic plan ‘Strength to Strength.’
The College is looking for an experienced maths and/or English leader to lead the effective implementation of a successful English, Maths and ESOL strategy across the organisation and lead and develop a central team of expert practitioners. Through creative curriculum development and rigorous quality improvement, the Head of Learning will ensure that learner needs are realised and met through their learning experience at the College.
The successful postholder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious curriculum offer, which includes initiatives such as ASK and MULTIPLY. If you have previous experience of managing improvements in teaching and learning in maths and/or English and are passionate about making a difference then this could be the role for you.
Stoke on Trent College is the largest provider of further education in Stoke and North Staffordshire, with around 7,000 students each year. This is made up of full-time and part-time 16-18 study programmes, apprenticeships, extensive Adult provision, professional qualifications and university-level courses across two campuses in Stoke on Trent, Burslem and Cauldon.
