What are T Levels?

T Levels are qualifications for 16-19-year-olds taken after GCSE’s, are equivalent to 3 A-Levels and focus on technical and vocational subjects, such as:

  • Agriculture & Environment
  • Business & Administration
  • Catering
  • Construction & the Built Environment
  • Creative & Design
  • Digital & IT
  • Education & Healthcare
  • Engineering & Manufacturing
  • Hair & Beauty
  • Health & Science
  • Legal, Finance & Accounting

There are currently 16 T Level courses available in total, with more to be launched in September 2023.

These qualifications are a hybrid of learning and on-the-job training, each T Level includes an in-depth industry placement lasting at least 45 days. Students get valuable workplace experience, which can help them get into skilled employment, university or higher apprenticeships, and employers get an early insight into new talent in the industry.

T Levels have been designed with employers, for employers

Employers highlighted skills shortages that could impact the future success of businesses, in response, the government has worked alongside hundreds of businesses to design courses to help deliver those skills. T Level industry placements are a free government scheme – you don’t need to pay to take on a T Level student for placement.

Do you have the staff available for delivery who can combine theory, practical learning and support with industry placements?
