Protocol, a leading full-service recruitment agency in the education, skills, training and public sectors has announced the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors to its Board.

Protocol operates across a national footprint and has successfully provided the FE and Skills sectors with a wide range of recruiting services for over 25 years.

This week, the company announced the appoint of two new Non-Executive Directors. Gary Browning, formerly  the Chairman of Penna, one of the UK’s largest and most successful recruitment companies and is currently Non-Executive Director of the Harvey Nash Group and Richard Alberg, founder and CEO of MWS Technology Ltd which provides an innovative SaaS platform for the sector. Richard also co-founded Corndel Ltd, a high-growth Apprentice training provider and until recently held the position of Chairman at North Herts College.

Ian Sackree, Chief Executive commented; “I am delighted to be working with two professionals who have such a firm grasp on either recruitment or FE and Skills. I am confident that both Gary’s and Richard’s backgrounds will provide Protocol with the additional thought-led capacity to continue to expand our well-established and new services across FE, Skills and complementary sectors.  Their background in recruitment, software and FE are complementary to Protocol’s offer and I look forward to working with them on key projects”

This news follows the acquisition of Protocol by Compass International last summer, which spearheaded significant investment and growth plans for the business.

Richard Alberg added “I am thrilled to be able to work with the Protocol team. I am passionate about education and its transformative impact upon individuals and society. Great people are at the heart of high-quality education and Protocol enables this. With its scale and capabilities so much more is possible, and I will be supporting Ian Sackree and the team as they look to broaden their range of services and the number of clients they support.”

Gary Browning said “Protocol is an organisation I have admired for some time and I am delighted to be joining the Board to support Ian and his team going forward at a time when skills and training is top of the agenda. It is great to see an organisation like Protocol supporting the sector through provision of great talent.  I hope to bring a passion for education and development of people, particularly young people, which has grown through my work at Penna, MyKindafuture and Career Ready, together with experience of growing professional services businesses and I am very much looking forward to that journey.”

Over the next few months, Protocol is set to significantly grow its market share within the Training, End-Point Assessment, Higher Education and staffing support services space following significant investment in these areas.
