Counselling and Mental Health Officer, Greater London

Position Title: Counselling and Mental Health Officer

Location: England, Greater London, Isleworth

Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive counselling and mental health support services to students and staff
• Evaluate and develop individualised treatment plans based on client assessments
• Offer crisis intervention and emotional support to individuals in need
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for clients
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and client progress

Qualifications:

• Recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy
• Registration with a relevant professional body

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in counselling or mental health support
• Experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of mental health issues and therapeutic interventions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Proficient in record-keeping and documentation
• High level of emotional resilience required due to the nature of the role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counselling or a related field
• Additional certifications in specific therapeutic approaches
