Protocol is working closely with a Further Education College based in Uxbridge in their search for an experienced Foundation Studies Lecturer to re-engage young people with learning difficulties, including; social, emotional, and mental health issues within education.

The role:

  • The role is offering full time hours on a permanent basis.
  • We require a full time Lecturer to plan and deliver across a range of courses within Foundation Studies, particularly focusing on the Access to FE programmes, taking an active role in developing learners’ skills for independence and preparing them for employment or further study. You will also be involved in the development of the programmes within the area.

The person;
We are therefore seeking individuals who are passionate about helping struggling learners and who have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The individual will also have experience working with students or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting whilst being upbeat, motivational and knowledgeable in the subject area in order to educate and inspire learners.

Have you got what it takes?

  • A level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (qualification with substantial teaching experience in Foundation)
  • Experience delivering foundation studies and functional skills.
  • DBS on the update service
  • Experience with managing behavioural issues
  • Experience of working with high-needs learners
