Protocol are working closely with a Further Education College based in Sunderland in their search for an experienced Youth Worker to support students across a range of levels within the college.

 

The role;

This role is offering 37 hours hours on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

The college have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the College, working closely with Student Participation, Intensive Support and teaching staff to engage with young people, form a trusted relationship and to support them.

 

The person;

The successful candidate will organise and support the delivery of a range of effective and engaging activities and programmes for current students at Sunderland College, to motivate, support and create opportunities for personal and social development that can enable their transition to Higher Education or employment. 

As well as relevant experience of supporting young people between the ages of 14 – 25 in their social, emotional behavioural development through one to one interventions and group work approaches, we are looking for an individual with the desire to push for continuous improvement, solving problems and inspiring those around them. You will need to be flexible in your approach and willing to maintain an upto-date understanding of developments within the educational sector and to the College’s students and locality. A sound knowledge of local stakeholders is also required.
