Animal Care Lecturer

West Yorkshire-based college. 

Temporary starting April for 1 term, potentially longer. 

£20-£23 per hour + statutory holiday pay. 

The Job:

Start date 9th April supporting Animal Care Students including level 1 land-based unit of estate skills. 

Hours are Monday 09:00-10:30 / 13:00-14:30, Tuesday 09:00-10:30 / 13:00-14:30 / 15:00-16:00 and Thursday 09:00-10:30 / 13:00 – 14:30.

  • Undertake curriculum development including preparation of learning materials and marking.
  • Assure the quality of the student learning experience by effective delivery of formal scheduled teaching, blended learning and tutorials.
  • Create engaging classroom environments, supporting students’ development, and fostering confidence in their abilities. 

Must have:

  • Experience delivering Animal Care / Land-based courses OR modules ideally up to level 3. 
  • Must hold a teaching qualification (or be working toward one).  
  • Must have a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
