Learning Resources Facilitator 

South Yorkshire based College. 

Temporary until July. 

£12 per hour + holiday pay. 

As a Learning Resources Facilitator, you’ll work within the college library delivering high-quality student-focused support to facilitate and enable students, teaching staff and others to access and fully utilise physical and online resources. 

Working hours are 19.5 hours a week until 31st July 2024 on Wednesday 10am to 2.30pm, Thursday 9.00am to 5.45pm and Friday 9.00am to 4.45pm. 

Additional hours will be required once a month on open weekends w/c 18th March, 15th April, 13th May, 17th June and 15th July 2024 working 09:00-17:45. 

Main duties:

  • To produce materials and resources as well as deliver relevant inductions and activities within the Library. 
  • To assist students in the use of digital technologies to support teaching and learning.
  • Promote the services of the Learning Resources Centre through developing and delivering student engagement activities.
  • Assist students in the retrieval of information, the use of ICT and equipment, basic trouble-shooting and services available through the Learning Resource Centre.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the Library Management System and other Learning Resource Centre platforms and perform any administrative duties associated with these systems.

Must have:

  • Ideally have experience working within a library / information desk or frontline, customer focussed service.
  • Experience of using a virtual learning platforms in an educational setting.
  • Possess good digital skills with the ability to use a Library Management System.
  • Must have a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
