Job Title: Fabrication & Welding Assessor

Location: England, East Midlands, Nottinghamshire

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Up to £40,000 Per annum

Job Duties:

  • Assessing and evaluating students’ practical skills in fabrication and welding up to Level 3
  • Developing and implementing assessment strategies to measure students’ competencies.
  • Providing constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant education and training standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve the assessment process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration
  • Assessor qualification (e.g., A1)
  • Knowledge of assessment principles and practises
  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration
  • Maths & English Level 2

Experience:

  • Experience teaching and/or assessing across a range of Engineering courses and modules aligned to the Fabrication and Welding occupational skillset
  • Experience in teaching and or assessing within the training sector or FE environment 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., CTLLS)
  • IOSH
  • Experience in delivering training programmes
  • A Verifiers Award (V1)
