Job Title: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Assessor

Location:

England, East Midlands, Nottinghamshire

Job Type:

Permanent

Full-time and Part-time positions available

Required to work 37 or 40 hours per week on a flexible basis (If full-time)

Salary:

up to £42000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Job Duties:

  • The role requires monitored visits to see apprentices and employers in the workplace
  • Assessing and evaluating students’ practical skills in air conditioning and refrigeration
  • assessing/reviewing apprentices completing ACR Apprenticeships in the workplace
  • Supporting the apprentices’ progress through the relevant programmes at intermediate and advanced levels
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and assessment results
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration
  • Assessor qualification (e.g., A1)
  • Knowledge of assessment principles and practises
  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration
  • Maths & English Level 2

Experience:

  • Industrial experience within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sector
  • Experience in teaching and or assessing within the training sector or FE environment 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS)
  • Experience in delivering training programmes
  • A Verifiers Award (V1)
