Safeguarding Lead – Hammersmith 

Full time hours – Temporary on-going 

£29.84 per hour 

The role;
This role is offering full time hours on a temporary on-going basis within an FE College 
As Safeguarding Lead you will be taking on responsibilities safeguarding the college and the learners. Implementing safeguarding policies and procedures as well as being alert to safeguarding issues on a day to day basis. 

• You will be available to staff and students to discuss any safeguarding concerns 
• Ensure any concerns raised are referred to the appropriate agencies 
• Ensuring other members of staff are fully trained within safeguarding and how to spot and raise concerns 
• Ensure reporting and recording systems are in place for safeguarding procedures 
• Ensuring that the colleges safeguarding policies and procedures are up to date with the most recent statutory guidance, and that everyone who has safeguarding duties are familiar with any updates.
• Communicating with families on the colleges policies and procedures, as well as any concerns or referrals where appropriate.
• Being aware of any learners who may require specific safeguarding needs and have specific vulnerabilities

Have you got what it takes?

• Experience working as a Safeguarding Lead 
• ideally experience within an education setting and the safeguarding processes within this field 
• Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and processes
