Protocol are working closely with a Further Education College based in Birkenhead to help their search for a Prep 4 Life Lecturer.

The role;

  • 17 hours per week over 3 days – 4 days.
  • Temporary ongoing contract.
  • September start.
  • To assist in the development, organisation, delivery and course management of high-quality teaching and learning in the area of Prep 4 Life.
  • To lead, support and advise a team on the design and development of learning resources in an area of specialism to support high quality teaching, learning, support and assessment for learners, including those with complex and multiple learning difficulties
  • To co-ordinate and monitor data across a team, as required, for Course Team Reviews and other purposes and lead a team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme(s).
  • To prepare learning materials and assignments, assess and mark learners’ work and make necessary arrangements for internal and external assessment e.g. tutorials, internal and external verification/moderation, examinations, as appropriate.

Have you got what it takes?

  • Vocational qualification at minimum Level 3 in an appropriate subject/Teaching Qualification
  • Able to evidence successful experience of teaching groups of learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LDD) (which demonstrates knowledge and practice of effective and inclusive group teaching and learning strategies).
  • Capable of identifying individual learning needs and developing differentiated, varied, high quality learning materials
  • DBS on the update service
