Travel & Tourism Lecturer

Location: Bath
Contract Type: Fixed-Term or Temporary, 37 hours per week

Protocol are working with an established college based in Bath searching for a dynamic and passionate Travel & Tourism Lecturer to join our team on a fixed-term or temporary basis until the end of the academic year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in the Travel & Tourism sector, with a specialisation in Travel & Tourism at Levels 1, 2, and 3.

As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating creative and innovative teaching to engage students and help them develop the necessary skills to excel in the industry. Your expertise and experience in the Travel & Tourism sector will play a vital role in the success and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment in accordance with awarding body requirements.
• Plan and deliver lessons for Level 1, 2, and 3 programmes, ensuring effective and engaging learning experiences.
• Produce sequencing documents, schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, and learning materials.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records of formative and summative assessments.
• Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to students.
• Contribute proactively to the success and vision of the department and the College.
• Lead educational trips, workshops, and undertake necessary risk assessments.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

• PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
• Extensive experience in the Travel & Tourism industry.
• A recognised qualification in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism (Level 3 or higher).
