Protocol are working with an established college in Newbury seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Assessor to join our innovative and growing apprenticeship team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment, where you can contribute to the success of our Engineering Degree Apprenticeships.
About the Role:
As an Engineering Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of our degree apprentices, ensuring they are fully prepared for Gateway and End Point Assessment. Your role will involve providing one-to-one coaching, small group training, and ensuring apprentices receive an outstanding learner journey. You will play a key part in meeting growth and quality targets year on year, helping our learners achieve success in their engineering careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess apprentices across Engineering Degree Apprenticeships, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Ensure apprentices are fully prepared for Gateway and End Point Assessment.
- Deliver training in both one-to-one and small group settings.
- Work collaboratively with the apprenticeship team to maintain high quality and growth targets.
- Support apprentices in developing their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Ensure apprentices receive an outstanding learning experience and maintain high satisfaction levels.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Assessor and IQA qualifications.
- A recognised level 3 or 4 degree in a related subject, or a recognised level 3 or 4 professional qualification.
- At least two years’ industry experience in a related engineering field.
- Previous experience in training and coaching apprentices, either one-to-one or in small groups.
- A passion for supporting the next generation of engineers and an ability to inspire and motivate apprentices.
