Job Description:
Protocol is working with a Further Education College in Romford who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Services Lecturer to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with a strong background in public services and a commitment to fostering student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions for BTEC Protective/Public Services courses.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality processes related to sampling, internal verification, and other relevant procedures.
- Contribute to the college’s mission of providing high-quality education and training.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Qualified teacher with one of the following qualifications: PGCE, QTS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching BTEC Protective/Public Services.
- Teaching qualification such as Cert Ed or PGCE.
- Industry experience in Police, Fire, Army, or other relevant services.
- Understanding and experience of quality processes related to sampling, internal verification, etc.
- IQA qualifications.
- Assessors Award.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
- Experience working in an educational establishment.
