Join us at the LSA Training Academy on Monday 7th March at 9.30am-3pm, Tuesday 8th March at 9.30am-3pm and Wednesday 9th March 9.30am-3pm.
If you’re currently in a Learning Support role and looking for a new opportunity, or working in care and would like to upskill, this training academy is for you.
You will have support from our Technical Lead, Cyndi Lai-Richards, who handles all technical aspects of Additional Learning Support, including training, quality control, relationship management and more.
We have partnered with West London College to create a paid opportunity for individuals who are passionate about SEN and Disabilities to train over 1 and a half days in Additional Learning Support.
Successful completion of the paid training could lead to an opportunity for paid work on a 2-week trial with West London College.
Our certified LSA training will help you progress into various Learning Support roles as you’re provided with the necessary knowledge to upskill in the following areas:
- SEND Code of Practice
- Mental health awareness
- Neurodiversity, including ASD and SpLD
- Understanding challenging behaviour
- Crisis intervention
- Promoting positive behaviour
To qualify, you must have:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Education or Care role
- Prior experience working with young adults or 1-1 care
- A level 2 or above qualification in English and Maths
