Job Duties:
- Deliver engaging and effective GCSE and Functional Skills Maths L3 lessons to students.
- Plan and prepare course materials and lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum requirements.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of assessment.
- Provide timely feedback and support to students to help them improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Maths curriculum.
- Stay updated with advancements in Maths education and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
- Support students in their educational and personal development.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Education:
A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Maths at GCSE and/or Functional Skills level.
- Experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate student progress.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE and Functional Skills Maths curriculum.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Proficient in using educational technology and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Experience in using online learning platforms and resources.
