In this first instalment, we would like to introduce you to Josh Smith, Senior Recruitment Consultant for Skills and Training. Josh has been part of the Protocol Family for 4 years and is based at Head Office in Nottingham. Here’s what we found out about Josh’s Protocol journey:
What did you do before Protocol?
Before Protocol, I was working at an FE College in compliance/data and reporting type roles. I then found a passion for employer engagement, and that’s when I got a position at a large national training provider where I was recruiting apprentices for the workplace.
Tell us about your career progression to date.
Since being a part of #TeamProtocol, I’ve had fantastic career progression. I spent just over 2 years on the North Team, then was given an exciting opportunity to join Skills & Training. I really started to relish in the challenge of recruitment, the untapped market, and the allure of working with a large organisation in a training capacity. It gave me the tools I needed to build my portfolio and become a vital team member.
What do you enjoy about working at Protocol?
Protocol has so many great elements to it, but the PEOPLE are the best. Not only do we all work incredibly hard, but we also have a laugh while we do it too. Everyone is continuously working towards a cohesive goal no matter the team – everyone always pulls their weight.
Why would you recommend us to a potential candidate?
