Protocol are proud to be working with a fantastic East Midlands based college to recruit a Machining & Maintenance Engineering Lecturer on a permanent contract commencing in January 2020. 

As one of the largest further education providers in the country, this college offers a huge range of vocational and academic courses, helping their students find routes into higher education or their dream career.

You will be required to deliver and assess Levels 1 – 3 which will be a combination of both college and workplace learning. You should have relevant knowledge & practical skill to demonstrate industry experience. You also need to demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to teaching, learning and assessment.

Role responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess at levels 1 – 3
  • Motivating students to excel in their subject area
  • Deliver excellent teaching and assessing practice

The person & qualifications

  • Hold a teaching qualification, or have prior teaching experience 
  • Hold at least a Level 3 Engineering Machining/Maintenance qualification 
  • Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or within 12 months (or be willing to apply for one)
