Protocol are delighted to be working with a leading FE College in the Derbyshire area. We are looking for a Fabrication and Welding Lecturer to join our clients engineering department.

The candidate must have experience in delivering fabrication and welding with an understanding of mechanical as well.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate and knowledgeable about fabrication and welding and have the drive and motivation to help learners to progress in their careers, increase their employability and support their personal development. The ideal candidate will have a strong industry background within engineering, experience of training and assessing, and have strong organisational and communication skills in order to inspire and educate learners.

This position would be working on a full time, permanent basis. 

Role responsibilities

  • Delivering the Fabrication and Welding qualification from levels 2-5
  • Motivating students to excel in their subject area

The person & qualifications

  • You will have a recognised teaching qualification
  • Hold a degree or equivalent within engineering
  • An assessor award would be advantageous
  • Previous experience teaching fabrication and welding to level 3 – minimum
