Our client currently has an exciting opportunity to join them on a permanent basis as accountancy Lecturer starting in January until September 2021
Role responsibilities
- Planning and delivering and development of a range of subjects across the business curriculum, primarily on AAT (Level 2 and 3)
- Teaching 14 hours per week Monday and Tuesdays
- Teach across a range of programmes in Business – specific focus is on AAT Level 2.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and resource materials for these programmes.
- Prepare assessment plans and schedules and ensure students are aware of your expectations.
- Contribute to the development, promotion and delivery of the School’s marketing and recruitment strategies. Induction and Support for Students.
The person & qualifications
- A degree/professional qualification in Accounting
- An advanced teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. PGCE, DET)** or willingness and ability to work towards one Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of teaching Accountancy subjects specifically AAT Level 2 and 3, and ability to demonstrate good track record of success in teaching and student achievement
- Experience of working in Business/Accountancy
- Up-to-date knowledge of Accountancy
- The ability to engage, motivate and inspire vocational learners aged 16-19
