Protocol are proud to be working with a national training Provider who are recruiting for a Railway Engineering Tutor. The successful candidate will need to travel between the Walsall and Burslem Offices delivering  the Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technology (Rail.) This is a 6 month fixed term contract potentially leading to a permanent full time contract.

Role responsibilities

  • To plan, establish and sustain good relationships with all learners

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of courses. This may include but not restricted to scheme of work, lesson plans, course material, hand-outs, individual learning plans, reviews and other student related paperwork

  • Establish strategies for dealing with poor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and class performance

  • Keeping registers and other student information as required by funding rules and for statistical purposes

  • Deliver Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technology (Railway) 
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with the learning programmes such as open days, organising external visitors and organising learning-related trips.

 

The person & qualifications

  • L3 or above qualification in Engineering Technology
  • Teaching qualification (PTLLS or above)
  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Railway Units
  • Experience working within the Rail Industry
  • Proven track record of successful completion of portfolios with success rates
