Delivery of dog grooming based subjects is the main focus of this role and we are particularly interested to hear from applicants who have experience of delivery at Level two and Level three as well as delivery to adult learners. The successful candidate will prepare and deliver classes and assessment activity to learners across a range of dog grooming classes, but may be asked to deliver to some of our full and part time programmes from Entry Level through to HE. Experience within the Dog Grooming industry is essential for delivery at Level 3. Familiarity with requirements of awarding bodies in the education sector would be an advantage.

Role responsibilities

  • Teaching dog grooming up to level 3 and adult learners
  • Support with teaching across full and part time programmes
  • Support the delivery of high quality delivery in all aspects of our provision within the remit of the Area of Learning
  • To support learners through appropriate induction, personal support and to undertake initial assessments as required by College policies and procedures including requests for identified support as appropriate
  • To prepare teaching and learning programmes to a high standard using appropriate individual and group techniques, including the effective use of e-learning activities and materials, which encourage active participation in learning


The person & qualifications

  • Significant experience in dog grooming (3 Years+)
  • L3 Diploma in Dog Grooming qualification
  • Teaching qualification or working toward one is essential
  • Assessor award or working toward one is essential
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification is desirable
